Erosion Control - Business Development Manager (BDM)
A successful Business Development Manager for Ground-FX, must possess an innate drive for excellence, self-motivation, be focused on strategic growth and customer service, and have extensive sales experience. This position requires an organized, strong negotiator intent on improving knowledge of industry trends, governing regulations, and economic conditions. A BDM works to expand our product reach and profitability through market penetration and identification. He or she researches new business opportunities, identifies sales, develops strategic plans and strategies, hosts presentations and meets with prospective customers. A BDM works directly as a component of our sales and marketing efforts, while also interacting with regulatory bodies, customers, partners, and vendors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Commerce, or equivalent "trades" experience,
- 3-5 years experience in construction, erosion control, compliance or related industry,
- Strong written, presentation, and communication skills,
- Familiarity with various aspects of the Clean Water Act, NPDES, and Consent Decree,
- Have knowledge or relationships with contractors, subcontractors, EPA, IDEQ, ITD, Corp of Engineers, and local regulatory agencies,
- Familiarity with the Idaho Standard Specifications for Highway Construction and the Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices Manual,
- Possess or be involved in obtaining Responsible Person (RP) and Water Pollution Control Manager (WPCM) certifications,
- Able to present general understanding of the construction industry, related compliance, trends, and potential opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate industry trends and economic conditions while building data warehouse on competition,
- Gather market information and analysis pertaining to promotion of erosion control best practices and related products and services,
- Develop daily goals and clear business objectives that guide team members in achieving company initiatives,
- Develop and maintain network of contacts to enhance and speed business opportunities,
- Attend workshops, trade shows, and seminars to keep up-to-date changes in the industry,
- Evangelize the merits of Ground-FX and work to create long-term, win-win relationships with customers, vendors, and partners,
- Project manage sales and marketing efforts for new or existing products and services,
- Report, advise, and maintain proactive communication on funnel development, potential opportunities, and potential positive change,
- Create and lead dynamic and interactive work-teams to foster innovative, creative solutions to challenges faced by the company,
- Actively participate in SWOT analysis of Ground-FX and competition to continue an aggressive strategic planning method encouraging growth and optimization of people, processes, and production,
- Create and pursue opportunities which enhance and grow Ground-FX in line with corporate initiatives, ethical standards, and values,

Bark & Mulch / Erosion Control Installation Services - Project Supervisor
As the foreman of an operational crew, the successful applicant must possess a Class-A CDL in good standing, have strong communication and some management skills and be self-motivated. He or she must be innovative, creative, success-driven, self-critical, and focused on operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Class-A CDL,
- High school diploma or (GED),
- 2-5 years in construction, erosion control, or applicable fields,
- Good verbal and written skills,
- Be open to criticism and perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment,
- Must maintain a positive attitude and be willing to go the "extra mile,"
- Actively pursue self-improvement, operational excellence, and desire to incorporate best practices into daily efforts.
Daily tasks include:
- Driving the crew to the work site,
- Running the Blower Truck or applicable transportation,
- Helping with clean up,
- Project plans and allocation of labor on the site for erosion control or bark/mulch products,
- Filling out daily paperwork,
- Returning the truck and preparation for the next project.
Customer service skills and attention to detail are critical components of this position.
Compensation for this position is negotiated inclusive of experience, demonstrated skills, and performance.

Bark & Mulch / Erosion Control Installation Services - Installation Specialist
As a key member of the operational team this position is critical. A strong sense of purpose and attention to detail are a must to insure that projects will be completed on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or (GED),
- 1-3 years in construction, erosion control, or applicable fields,
- Good verbal skills,
- Be open to criticism and perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment,
- Must maintain a positive attitude and be willing to go the "extra mile,"
- Actively pursue self-improvement, take direction, and want to succeed.
Daily tasks include:
- Preparation of the truck or erosion control material to be installed,
- Being on time and ready to work,
- Adept at installing the applicable product,
- Running hose or installation gear,
- Spreading bark, installing erosion control products, and clean up of the site or yard,
- Clean up and preparation for the next project.
Compensation for this position is hourly-based on a sliding scale inclusive of experience, demonstrated ability and performance under pressure.
